Zimmerman 145

This 5-foot Zimmermann baby grand was built in Germany in 1989, before the brand joined C. Bechstein in 1992 and long before production shifted to Asia. It represents the original Zimmermann factory’s traditional German workmanship, offering the tone and touch of a compact grand in a convenient home or studio size. A solid choice for players who want a true grand piano experience without the footprint of a full concert instrument.

Zimmermann

Zimmermann is a historic German piano maker founded in Leipzig in 1884, known for building reliable pianos with traditional craftsmanship. For more than a century the company produced instruments in Germany, supplying many homes, conservatories, and schools across Europe. In 1992, C. Bechstein acquired the brand, later expanding production and design under the Bechstein group. Earlier Zimmermann pianos, like those from the Leipzig era, reflect the character of German manufacturing of their time, while newer models benefit from Bechstein’s modern engineering and production methods.
