Structural condition and as-is sale (pianos)
The following applies to purchases of pianos from Roberts Pianos and forms part of your agreement when you buy an instrument from us, together with any separate written terms provided at the time of sale.
Structural condition disclaimer
Unless Roberts Pianos states otherwise in writing, a used piano sold by us should be understood as a used reconditioned piano, not as a fully rebuilt or fully restored instrument. It has been prepared for sale, but some original parts may remain.
Original parts may show normal age-related wear. Where parts are damaged, failing, or not serviceable for the standard of the piano being sold, they may be set up, repaired, or replaced. Where parts still have useful life, they may be left in place and adjusted.
Roberts Pianos represents the piano as serviceable and prepared for normal home use at the time of sale, not as mechanically new. Further tonal refinement, concert-level regulation, voicing preference, or optional upgrades may be recommended by a technician over time and are not automatically warranty defects unless Roberts Pianos confirms this in writing.
As with any used acoustic piano, the instrument may contain wear, aging, or structural weaknesses not immediately visible, including but not limited to legs, casters, and supporting components. The buyer acknowledges that they have inspected the piano or have had the opportunity to do so and accepts responsibility for the piano after transfer of possession, including ordinary risks related to movement, placement, use, and age-related future maintenance, except where a separate written warranty clearly applies.
Limitation of Liability
Roberts Pianos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of our services.
Without limiting the foregoing, purchases of pianos are subject to the structural condition and as-is sale terms in the section Structural condition and as-is sale (pianos) above.
